gimme your disco stick
i ran and ran as fast as my legs could carry me..down the corridor, went into the girls bathroom and hid myself in a small corner of the cubicle where i thought she wouldn't go looking for me. i clasped my mouth with what i realized, pale hands that shivered in fear. i tried to breathe slowly inhale..exhale..inhale..exhale i wouldn't want to let out any suspicious sound that would threathen my position in my little hideout. so i breathed very slowwwwly. there. not a sound heard. where is she? the coast must be clear, i thought. is it ok for me to go out now? maybe she's gone elsewhere and i can make an escape..OMG i am a genius at hiding myself! shuddup angeline. okok maybe i will get up and see..clack clack i stopped moving a muscle. oh no! she's here. SHE'S HERE. i tried to locate her shadow clack clack she's making her way to the further end of the bathroom and bham! she kicked a cubicle door open. oh shit! is she going to do that till she reaches my cubicle? my hideout? i am so going to die beside a toilet bowl OMG! but she didn't and it may have seemed that she had given up and was going to walk out of the bathroom clack clack clack *fades away* relief flooded in like a broken dam. thank you god. oh thank you!
BHAM! my cubicle door opened with great force and it almost hit me square on the face. SHIT SHE FOUND ME OMG OMG OMG A smile creeped on her face..her lips curled in the ends. a very satisfying yet alluring smile. she made her way towards me clack clack clack i tried to move backwards but how behind can you go when you are already in a corner. she placed her legs on both sides of my torso and looked down. in my thoughts, if i was going to die here, god bless my soul that he has sent this magnificent creature of his to do the bidding. with long blonde hair that cascaded down her well-defined shoulders, heavily accentuated curves, a graceful body to match and eyes that stare right through your soul. her perfume..oh my. bergamot and sicilian lemon. i wanted to close my eyes and indulge in the scent of what it seems coming from the angel of death. she picked me up by the collar and i was soon up on my heels. we were standing so close to each other, our noses were touching. she removed her vintage versace sunglasses. she moved on to caress the right side of my cheek. it felt numb. cold. i felt a tingle of sorts at soft points where her fingers touched my neck. the grip tightened and she said,
"Give me your disco stick"
I screamed and screamed. eh wait..disco stick. disco stick? but..but..i am a girl. and girls aren't supposed to have disco sticks right? wtf something is wrong. golly, lady gaga got the wrong person! i am spared! i can continue to live on! so i gathered some courage to mutter our the fact that i'm a girl and that no, i don't have a disco stick to give her. however, lady gaga continued on. she smelled my hair and said,
"It doesn't matter. I want YOU"
OMG i am so dead.

your glorious fibreness
imagine soft warm fresh bread in front of you...sigh. it's a little chuck of baked heaven just waiting to be tasted.
the aroma of freshly baked bread is so bewitching. like looong invisible fingers that hook me by the nostrils, making it hard for me to resist the temptation of entering the bakery. the smell is so comforting, it fills your heart with happiness and it screams "i know you want me. so eat me QUICK!" OMG bread can control my thoughts and emotions at times. and when i take a bite at it, the warmness spreads in your stomach, cuddling me from the inside with each well placed bite. When you're feeling down or need a small pick-me-up, just place your bread of choice into the oven and smother with a thick coat of butter and jeebus! comfort food ready yum yum=) that's when i found out the ultimate truth..i think i'm in love. with bread wtf

but you see, not many people see bread in its divine form. it doesn't get the respect it deserves. why? bread can make you fat. bread so starchy la. bread is converted to sugar after it is digested. kenot la too much sugar make you fat! bread is fat fat FAT. ah shuddup la..leave bread lovers alone. i tell you, i can go all day having bread in each meal. it doesn't mean plain bread with butter and jam only. for example in the morning you could start off with french toast served with honey, lunch could be mushroom soup with a basket of garlic bread and dinner would be erm..an open sandwich that consist of a thick slice of wholemeal bread, slices of grilled chicken breast, carrot shavings and lettuce with a drizzle teriyaki sauce OMG OMG OMG so hungry now. so you see, bread is so versatile and you can practically pair up with any food you like. I don't know why i love bread the way that i do, but i can't help it. there are many bread lovers like me out there too. online, i found this anonymous group of I Love Bread people who shares personal stories and experiences and they too have support group forums. OMG support group? that serious, mate?

the golden retriever named ruby
update: OMG facebook is losing its appeal to me these days. it's getting boring day by day wtf
how long do you want me to wait? it's been a week and my new car still isn't parked at the driveway grrr. i suppose there's the paperwork..but it has been one week! *angeline marches to and fro on the driveway*
smart
smart
smart
anyway! we just brought home the loveliest creature we've ever set our eyes on and we're calling her ruby. ruby is a young golden retriever with a bubbly nature. initially, she was so timid and quiet in the car during the ride back home but once we released her in our garden, she went aloha! she ran and ran to every corner of the lawn, chewed grass, chased frogs, ran again and chewed more grass. that gorgeous creature is now the latest addition to our family of five and what a beauty she is=) imma buy a pink leash tmr..and maybe throw in a pink collar too. blinged with diamond studs haha OMG well, you know me!

my super lazy sunday
update: internet is freaking screwed out *angeline slaps mr. streamyx in the face*
this is one lazy weekend i tell you. i've done nothing productive except sleeping away these two days. i mean its a looong holiday before i start work so i guess a few days dedicated to sleeping is forgivable. now you've really got to blame the boredom that weaves between all the free time that you have. it's like no matter how much i try to occupy myself with activities..i always end up with plenty more hours to burn and that's when i fall asleep zzzz. i have been doing lots of reading these days, been spending more time at home than outside because of the H1N1 spread, enquiring about part-time courses (from home), re-cleaning x10 my room and doing odd jobs here & there. There was once i offered to mow the lawn of my house just so i can spend the morning off doing something! This is of course a very rare offer and it's a crazy offer judging by the size of the lawn. anyway!

i have the same range of emotions like this chicken here. wow spot on.
Been dying to get a change of hairstyle. You know, to mark the beginning of everything..starting from getting a new car, my first job (soon), creating my own independence, basking in the light of new, unfounded freedom. a new haircut is like chopping away layers of your past and flaunting the new you. my friends gave me the green light. they were like "yeah it's gonna be a different look you're after but i think it'll work out well for you". when i told my mum, my grand plan to cut my hair shoulder-length, she's like, "don't compromise your own style just to keep in trend. your friends identify you with your long hair so don't you go chopping them off so you look more like your idol (aka lady gaga)" wtf.

my curls ain't that gorgeous anymore compared to when i first had them

i want a simple yet clean haircut like nicole richie's. government hospitals don't have the luxury of air-conditioned wards you know! hot.
my hair is so not suitable in this hot and humid malaysian weather. plus curls are difficult to maintain. everytime i get off the shower room, i spend so much time priming my curls so that i'll have a nice hair day tomorrow. and the scary thing is that everytime i run my fingers through my hair when i shower, i get a whole bunch of hair between my fingers and that's like really scary. normal fall out rate is like 50 strands a day but this is like equivalent to the hair fall off rate of a cancer patient under chemotherapy. huge cry of concern here! complained to my mum and all she says "yup. you may have cancer. being bald saves money on hair products and i think its cool" @_@ FML. love my mum's sarcasm.
anyway, this week will be great despite not able to join my friends on their road trip to malacca. instead of the proposed weekend, they had to go with weekdays (mon to wed). can't go liddat..i have a part-time job and other commitments as well. i could just drop off work for three days since it's part-time after all but i'd rather not cause any inconveniences to my employer. case close. it's a good decision, nothing to feel bad about=/
shit. coffee addiction. strikes. again. before work, after work, after dinner. wowwee no wonder la vampirism so prevalent.

i miss my friends
tuesday dinner onz mou?

energy leach attacks

crystal won first place in gymnastics at school today. made a congratulatory hummingbird cake. she likes it. effort feels appreciated^^ though i made a mental note to myself not to add dessicated coconut into any of the cakes i make in near future (hate the taste)=p i had a beautiful outing with my girlfriends today. catch ups, gossips, reminiscences, the works. all i feel like doing the rest of the night is curl up on the sofa and finish reading the book of winston churchill and his great wars.
good night. lazy to layan the world.

my favourite word: epiphany!
i had an epiphany yesterday. boy, what a divine manifestation of realization it was! and it struck me when i was watching an episode of oprah winfrey. i catch her talk shows everyday (with my mum=p) but this one..this one was just different. it struck me hard on the fact that life's short, so put yourself out there, have fun and do everything that makes you happy. AND because life is short, the things that we do should be outlined with passion because it is pure passion that will get you far - it fuels you with the drive and motivation to pursue greater things. i'm seriously excited about this..my brain is revving up with encouraging thoughts projecting from all directions of the cortex.

this does not mean, however, that i will put aside my career as a pharmacist or anything like that. I too am passionate about my job because it is within my life's calling to help the needy in terms of public healthcare and improving their quality of life in which i believe health professionals these days care less about. There's something i realized is that we've become so much more money-oriented upon and after graduation IMO. During the first half of the course, we were enthusiastic about making a difference in people's lives through patient care with making utmost use of our compassion and knowledge in medicine, lifestyle and healthcare - it's all about helping people, you know. QOL. but after graduation, we're overly concerned with how much we'll make, the things we will possess later in life or whether we can get a certain this or that with our salary. All this have clouded our initial motivation for pursuing pharmacy in the first place *sigh*
Anyway, money should not be our ultimate goal. Because at any time you start something with the idea that money's everything. you're going to end up making decisions that are based on greed, based on short-term goals, and not eventually long-term happiness. That's what I've learned from Gurbaksh Chahal, a millionaire mogul. So really, go ahead, find out what your true passion is, what your strengths are and figure life through these elements.
I know what mine is and i'm going to start taking action in doing something i'm passionate about.
currently inspired,
angel

RAWR It's Friday!
are you wondering what you could do during this weekend? i know i am. actually this question is semi-intended for me but anyway, let's make it a general question and so you can read my answer=p if you aren't doing anything, you could head down to the DaiCon anime convention at Multimedia University, Cyberjaya held this July 11 and 12. This event will be a blast if you are a fan of manga and anime..like me=) WAI LEONG, ARE YOU READING THIS!?

i took this photo and golly, it's so pretty=)
This convention is organized by the university's anime club called Enima and by reviewing the highlights created for this weekend, looks like they worked hard at organizing it. spells fun all the way^^
The main highlight is Chihara Minori LIVE.
She's a popular Japanese singer and seiyuu in many well-known anime series. for example The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (Yuki Nagato), Lucky Star, Tenjho Tenge and Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny. So kalau you minat sama dia, don't forget to get tickets to her concert, priced at RM 250 and RM 150. I think it's quite expensive..won't even bother getting them. I'll just stand from afar and listen to whatever's audible from the concert hall.

the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya-chan. i didn't know it was her who sang the ending theme single 'hare hare yukai' with aya hirano and yuko goto till recently-_-!
this dance is epic doh~
lucky star! this is one funny anime series=)
Because with that money from buying a concert tix, you can buy anime collectibles from Kareshi Kanojyo No Mise - a popular Singaporean anime merchandise store. yeap, its their first time in malaysia and ivan is hoping to get his hands on some hard-to-get anime dolls.

cafe maids are the modern geishas of japan
Bet he'll go wild at the 'maid cafe' once his coffee and cakes are served by ladies clad in tailor-made costumes. Tokyo is famous for their maid cafes (to be a maid you have to be skilled and graceful, not easy ok!) and if you haven't been into one, then this maid cafe right here may provide the experience you crave. some guys i know love those maid cafes because it fulfills part of their 'fantasy'..urgh no more details here.

girls, there are also cafes where perfect-looking male waiters serve your cuppa. oh! why hasn't anyone establish the concept of maid cafes here in malaysia? bummer. can make a lot of money eh!
There's a figurine mall and a J-Pop exhibition. AND of course cosplay contests! I don't have a gothic lolita or cosplay outfit to parade in but it is interesting to watch people donned in their best costumes while they indulge into the mind of the character that they are trying to portray.

hehe hopefully he attends the convention too^^ which i think he will!
i just had my dinner and hurried back to my room to finish this post. i've heard mixed reviews on the curious case of benjamin button so i'm going to watch it and be the judge myself.
honestly, i'm feeling a little bored with my current part-time job of being a waitress. It was all fun initially because i have the occupational curiosity to drive me through and challenging sometimes when you have to learn how to make all 25 drinks in like 2 days. A bigger challenge? Bad customers. They try to psycho you into thinking you did something wrong with their order..gave them the wrong food, did not follow their food specifications blah blah. objective: compensation, free food, discounts and whatsoever.

why can't my waitress outfit be as chio as this?
Here's one that happened yesterday. This stupid customer and her group of ten ordered the carrot cake for dessert.
I asked them whether they would like some cream cheese as cake topping and they said no need lo. I didn't have time to serve the cake (work time finish) so my colleague took over. When she served the cake, that lady dared to complain (she saw me leaving) saying that she asked for cream cheese on the carrot cake. my friend said if she wants it, it'll be additional 8 bucks.
that woman acting like a humongous baby said that she wasn't informed (and why bother you with the cost of additional topping when clearly you didn't ask for it also) and that she wants her cake topping plus the entire cake FOC for a mistake that wasn't even ours. i wasn't there but from what i heard my friend was furious and almost fought with the customer over this matter. then she finally decided to take back the carrot cake they refused to pay simply because there wasn't any topping and let them go cake-less. A bunch of datins huh..fake la you! i bet you bought that title. your husband included. KNNBCCB stuff the carrot cake in your mouth to keep it shut.
i wouldn't mind wearing this=) tip me baby one more time!
zzzz...zzz...zz...z OK! better now. making apple pie tmr! i watched all the youtube videos that teaches on how to make a pie lattice and i think its quite easy. wish me luck and if you want to try it, erm...too bad la hehe make your own^^
****
p/s whoever said the curious case of benjamin button was bad or somewhere along that line, you're wrong. it is the most touching movie i've ever watched. i cried=/ oh someone, pass me a hanky.
*sniff*

carol forwarded this email from maxis containing a picture which now adorns my desktop background. super happy when i received it!
you're right if you guessed it has something to do with lady gaga hehe now i have two photos for keepsake whee! for those who didn't know, lady gaga will be performing a full-blown concert this august the 12th down south (singapore that is). i need to get my paws on those tics and my ass down in sg but the only thing stopping me are my parents...and the H1N1 pandemic wory. hmph.
just got back from jusco. nicholas is coming over so got to have lots of food stored in the fridge. i expect the house to be blasted with the sounds of gun-shooting and rocket launchers. AND we're going to rock and roll tonight. the guitar hero is paying us a visit^^
gtg. need to prepare for work. physically and mentally. those annoying customers can really test my patience. to turn that anger into a smile, that's mental strain heh.
lunch call, bye!

new lights make me happy
am very happy to get new lighting installed in my room yesterday. i'd have to say my room is a little different from the main interior design of the house which carries a victorian theme to it. mine screams IKEA! most of the decorative pieces in my room comes from ikea.
unlike my mum, i'm not a big fan of antique wooden furniture, gold-plated table decorations or dark wallpapers with huge roses covering every inch of the wall. i like to keep things to the minimal, having lots of space, contemporary designs, chic colors and giving the walls a busy look with huge artworks (to my mum's distaste).

this is a classic victorian room.
now you're speaking my language babeh!
anyway, i wanted to enhance the study area of my room by fixing some decorative lights under my book shelf. Not only does it make my study space look less dull, the lights are so bright that there's actually no need for a study lamp anymore=) mr goodlight, i'm sorry i have to put you in the storage box now.

i bought these multi-use lighting for like RM69. three light pieces in a box, made of stainless steel and glass. ikea items are female-friendly. really! i have to admit i'm very bad in kemahiran hidup skills. i can't even fix a tv to save my own life. but ikea products comes with an instruction guide that's so easy to understand even a noob like me can make a standing furniture or spring electrical appliances to life=)
but you know a noob has her limitations. so leave the hard part like using a drill to a man. in this case, it was my brother who was forced to help me out here=p
screw the nails in to support the light pieces onto the surface of the shelf and voila!

the end result. look how wonderful it is whee! i use my study space more often now (increased by 30%) just to enjoy the pretty brightness of my newly fixed lights=) sometimes its just the little changes you make that turns your own space into a relaxing sanctuary where it's just you, enjoying the time you have for yourself. i know i love my space so mum, leave yr wallpapers outside!
now, i need more picture frames and a decorative tree to hang my jewellery. this calls for more shopping!

introducing
zee avi. heard of that name? her song 'bitterheart' have been breaking into radiowaves for the past month and it's one of my favourite songs on my playlist. her album is what i'm listening to this beautiful sunday, melodies of untouched, natural paradise. Her songs have a dark twist to it. You'll hear lyrics on her hopeful quest towards finding love but at the same time, is equally aware of heartaches that lurks around the corner when not careful which is inevitably the reality of modern romance.
zee avi has an old soul. but she's only 23! and the surprise came in when i found out she's from miri, sarawak. she has been producing songs locally for a long time but it was an international label that discovered her talent through youtube and placed her under the limelight she deserves. malaysia very slowww leh.
bitterheart oh bitterheart of mine (if you like this then listen to her other song titled Poppy)
what i'm trying to say here is that i'm very much in love with her music. a little bit like norah jones, a teaspoon more on the sultry side=D i know, i know you might ask what happens to lady gaga then? don't worry. nothing beats my addiction for pop-ate-my-heart lady gaga but you know, receiving the same constant stimulus makes you sensitized for awhile. relax with zee avi first and just dance with my pokerface later with lady gaga^^
ehehe both sides cheated. best song i dengar!
the poppy took my baby away from me,
