B105 Anniversary

This is B105

Ok I know this is a little outdated but hey, I'm gonna post these up anyway♥ A few months back, we had our B105 anniversary dinner or gathering at the Overseas Restaurant, Sri Petaling. With so many photos to share, I just have blog on this.

Gian wan, our ringleader, giving out a small speech

Besides eating our way through the many dishes that were served, we spent most of our time taking group photos, camwhoring, checking out whose camera is better and pose pose POSE!

Ser Li and Fay Jin

Daniel, you are missed

Gian wan and feihing deciding what and how much to order
Eddie and Alen

2 single, 1 taken

here are some of the dishes served on our table - thai-styled chicken♥ All the tables don't really have the same dishes so at least there are some variations. we swapped our half eaten dishes with one another just to taste!

mr. fish - looks so green leh..

pork - char siew!

miss overseas restaurant 2008

Oh ya, mooncake festival was around the corner as well. The glass fridge behind us displayed so many snow-skin mooncakes that looked so delicious. Love the pink ones ♥

tai lo confessed that he felt like the luckiest man on earth

Alen feels the same way too.

let me introduce to you a very special friend of mine

my superlicious camwhore partner♥

who is she exactly - can you guess?

she is the one and only, miss caroline!

we shamelessly take vain photos in public only to realize that we were making a fool of ourselves after viewing them on computer-_-! people just don't get fabulous personas. it's a way of life, honey.

Looks like Laura is indeed carrying me!

time to pay up for the food. aku nampak sombong siut!

Seriously i don't really think the food was worth the money spent. I think my friends will agree with me on that.

Now that we are well-fed and watered with our stiffened facial muscles from smiling a lot, it's time to leave for home. But i didn't know how we ended up in a dessert shop not too far away. A little place called Capri Desserts (not sure). Desserts were ok but it was the time spent with your friends that truly matters.

busy busy ordering - still up for desserts after a heavy dinner? Like they say, there is always plenty of room for desserts!

Gian wan and Laura

Terry wants to give me a smooch♥

Talking to the girls but look like begging for food - i'm not ok!

Final group shot and everyone heads home after that - tired

Eddie: Let's go to the funfair.
Me: Huh!?

Feihing: Yeah. Let's.

Me: Take me home first. Then you guys can do anything you please-_- (If I took another ride on the Challenger, I swear i'll vomit yesterday's and today's dinner into the air)

Tokio Hotel, the Gods of Rock. Bill, can i be your gothlolita?♥

Friends for Life

Have you been invited to a dinner & dance event before? The ones I've attended, which comes close to that are like...proms? so yeah. This is pretty new for me. From their blog, it is said that this inaugural INCOVAR Dinner and Dance "Amigos para siempre" (which i believe the phrase here means friends for life) was organized to reconnect as many incovarians from past and present camps in one night. How exciting is that♥

Upon confirming your registration at the reception, you get to pen down a little message on one of these pebbles that were painstakingly hand drawn/ painted, making each stone so unique!

If my memory serves me correctly, the dinner and dance took place on the 6th of September at the Holiday Villa Subang Jaya. The theme or dress code was "...when you were 18" with a special mention to dress in your finest clothes. Baby, when i was 18, jeans and tank tops were staples in my wardrobe. THOSE were my finest clothes! You'll find me like onion here everytime mummy tells me to put on a dress.

Mum: Angel, why don't you put on that lovely dress i bought you for your cousin's wedding?

Me: No way! I'd look horrid. Plus, you never asked my opinion.

Mum: When i say put it on, just PUT IT ON! I want you to make a good impression in front of these people, angel. Look at your cousins...all so pretty but you...*sigh*

Me: so what. NO NO NO!

Mum: Well then, if you're not going to take my advice on this in which i insist that you do...how about saying goodbye to those shoes you saw at the store that day?

Me: BLACKMAILED by my own mother! FINE. JUST THIS ONCE AND NEVER TELL ME TO WEAR IT AGAIN!

Judging by the number of dresses i own today, you'll never would have thought i hated wearing them before. But then horr, i was thinking that many girls would wear dresses...so i wore pants instead. Just to stay out of the majority.

Writing a little something on my pebble♥

Initially i had no plans of attending this gathering due to reasons which i don't think i shall share right here. But when i found out my ticket has been paid for and a place reserved for me, I had second thoughts and voila! my face now appears in pictures taken from the event. Thank you Tza Yeong.

While waiting in patience (to enter the ballroom), a person like me will be so enthusiastic about taking pictures, trying to put my face in every photo possible. But not here...people want to take photo, I become so paiseh like that. Why arr?

Group group...shy to take picture alone

Michael and Miss Fabulous herself

The ballroom does look beautiful, no?

Food was alright..don't want to comment on it. Must be grateful...afterall, food is merely to sustain our mind and soul in our search for enlightenment. whoa did i just say that? Ciri-ciri seorang penganut Buddha yang mulia...cheh wah. haha. Oh yes, the entertainment was good! Was surprised to find that there's entertainment actually. I thought we'll just eat, dance and say toodles.

I wouldn't have guessed E-von was behind the mask!

Jason in his moment

Jason, you look so funny here!

Umbrella..ella..ella..ella

After food and entertainment, the time to dance has arrived♥ If you throw me into a club, I will shamelessly dance in the middle of the dancefloor. But when I was pulled to the small platform in front of the stage, I just froze. Another case of paiseh~ why why?

Me. Behind. Left. Enjoying.

Hail Buddha! Eh no la..whoopee!

We also danced to the soundtrack of Para Para Sakura♥ and we did the Macarena too.

I believe we were dancing to the song 'Speedy Gonzales'?

The dance marks the end of the gathering. But it doesn't end if you don't go on a camwhore galore like hello!? It is my wish to put it all up here but it'll just bore you to death.

McGoddess and Michael-san

Cheh..i look like a mistress who is not cared for anymore-_-!

Remus Lupin stole my heart and even more when he turns into a werewolf yum yum

For Gold and Glory

The 19th of September marks the end of the IMU Cup for the year 2008. Every year, the cup hosts a friendly competition between the medical, phamacy and nursing batches in the university with the aim of fostering new friendships and strengthening old ties within the healthcare community. cheh wah...but putting those 'wondrous' aims aside, it is a matter of seeing who is better: the Quacks or Pharmacy!

Pharmacy B105

Wei Loong and Kenny never felt happier

I don't know the reason for this pose.

Having not participated in any sports events and with no medals to receive on stage, there's only one thing to do and that is...photo photo PHOTOS! At the same time, playing hostess (and a bad one at that!) to my two friends, Kenny and Wei Loong. After watching the cheerleaders strutting their stuff during the competition, they wished they belonged in IMU^^!

Getting turned on by the cheerleaders

Congratulations to the Pharmacy team on their streak of victory as well as in maintaining history as it is (Pharmacy won their first champion title in football last year). Captain Eddie Phang did a really good job in leading and pushing the football team all the way to the top which assured them the title of IMU Cup Football Champion for the year 2008! The lastest addition to the team, Hwa Rang, our korean import, makes the team even more appealing to the girls...imagine Rain in a football field yum yum

The winning team basking in their magnificent glory

And they say victory is sweet to those who earned it

But sweeter still with friends to share it with

Captain Phang!

Kudos to Pharmacy's badminton team for taking in second place. Cheers!

Silver for badminton

And congrats once again to the basketball team! The one and only sports event I follow so closely (I love basketball) and attended all their matches...they always put up a good show of both skills and sportsmanship *clap clap*

Most of the team's best sheeps are my classmates!

Tai Lo, the manager of the basketball team

The highlight of the day before the closing ceremony was of course the cheerleading competition between 6 teams - the Diamonds, Bandits, Stallions, CyaKnights (Pharm B), Phoenix (Pharm A) and the Artic Wolves (i think they had the cutest cheerleading outfits ever!). First place went to the Stallions (...) and second place belonged to the Phoenix! Hip hip hurrah! Sorry ok...I'm from Pharmacy that's why so bias.

CyaKnight cheerleaders. Improvised from the word Cyanide!

Karen of Phoenix

Err dunno where these male cheerleaders come from -_-!

While I was feeling over-the-top and excited with the occasional screaming whenever we see the execution of outstanding cheerleading performances or when our friends go on stage to take their medals and trophies, I had pangs of nostalgia running through my mind...last year, I too took part in the cheerleading competition as a member of team Elektra. We didn't win but it was one hack of a joy ride. Working together with Elektra was one of the best experiences I've had. Thank you. Though we may have our rough and hectic moments along semester 5, it was worth it all.

Purple, gold and white

the color of victory, that's right

We are here to blow you away

E-L-E-K-T-R-A

We are here to show you all

what it takes to win it all

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y

Go ELEKTRA!

Electrifying Elektra

That aside. The closing ceremony gives you the opportunity to take pictures with good looking male athletes *ahem* Which may innocently start with a hand shake, an exchange of phone numbers, progressing to small talks and...maybe nothing happens after that.

Feihing, with that expression...good looking doesn't apply on you.

Aksi Ultraman Dyna.

The sad thing was I couldn't go out and celebrate with my friends after the closing ceremony. I went straight back to the research lab to collect the results of my MTT assay...sheesh. Sorry Kenny, Wei Loong. And to you, Eddie.

I'm off to watch Yakitate! Japan. Kawachi-san~

Mix-Tape @ Euphoria

Thursday night was ladies night at Euphoria and it was wild ♥ Free entry & 1 free drink - strictly before 10.30pm. Best of all, it's a smoke-free environment. I didn't have to worry about the smell of cigarette smoke lingering in my hair or feeling sooo tired after clubbing till the wee hours in the morning.

The last time, I had to wash my hair at least 3 times to get rid of the stench. And once, someone spilled cheap plonk on me. It smelt so bad, I had to burn my dress^^!

The glass walkway. Lovely!

Besides, excellent layout and decor...a spacious dancefloor and really chic restrooms. The music was awesome. I ♥ the place to bits.

Looking around. And posing.

My gorgeous housemates and I.

JacQ and her sassy friends.

The boys

And the drinks start flowing in!

This is the first time I see Joyce pout^^

The last photo of the night. Our feet were so sore from all that dancing!

Euphoria deserves a high rating. However, many would agree with me that the drinks were rather pricey, no?
